I've been on the hunt for a good cleansing Balm, so I thought I should give the Elemis cleansing Balm a go. The first thing that was apparent to me was the heavy fragrance of the Balm, its not particularly nice (its way too strong for me). But I looked over it and decided to give it ago. Application wise I took a small amount and applied it too dry skin with damp fingers (to make the balm into more of a liquid). After massaging it in well, I removed it with a damp muslin cloth. I found that it removed my makeup quite well but it was not as affective compared to other cleansers (especially for the price). I think the whole process is too long for me, when I want to remove my makeup at the end of a long day, I want the quickest and most affective products. So for me personally, this would be more of a weekend product when I have the time to double cleanse or it would also be great as a morning cleanser. If you want to give the Balm a try I recommend getting the travel size first, so that you can give it a go without splurging a silly amount.
